You can connect your Pay Terminal Plus (PTP) to one or more of your Apple-devices via WiFi and accept card payments. Currently, Pay Terminal Plus is only available in Germany.

What you need for a quick start

Your login credentials to...

• PIN of an Admin user for the settings of orderbird PRO
• PIN for your Apple device that you want to link with your Pay Terminal Plus
• Your credentials for MY orderbird
• Name and passwort of your network
• Your Apple ID and the passwort

Ready your devices!

• You need at least orderbird App Version 7.6.1 on all of your devices. If required, please update.
• Sufficiently charged devices or power supply of those via USB
• At least iOS 13 on your Apple devices
  How to check your current version and update if needed: Update iPhone or iPad
• Your Apple devices and the Pay Terminal Plus must be in the same network! Otherwise, the devices cannot connect to each other, and you won't be able to make card payments!

How can I change back to my Miura card reader if something goes wrong?

That's easy: Go to Settings > Payments > Card reader and deactivate the WiFi card reader. Done!
If your Miura card reader does not work, pair it again with your Apple device (DE only).

In a nutshell

• Open your orderbird PRO app and go to Settings > Payment > Payment Terminal > Manage Terminals and activate "WiFi terminal". Tap on "Connecting WiFi Terminals to this device" and scan the displayed QR code with the camera on the back of your Pay Terminal Plus. Then follow the setup wizard on your Pay Terminal Plus.
• If you also have a Pay Terminal One (Miura card reader), the connection to it will be deactivated automatically.

Let's go - step by step

Place your Apple device(s) next to your Pay Terminal Plus. First take the Pay Terminal Plus and switch it on.

On your Pay Terminal Plus

1. First select one of three languages: German, English or French.
   
2. Now set up your Pay Terminal Plus in five steps.
   1. Choose a light or dark user interface and tap "Continue".
      
   2. Adjust the screen brightness.
      
   3. Connect to the same WiFi as your Apple device.
      Here you can see if your Pay Terminal Plus is already connected to a WiFi network:
      
      
      • Tap on "Connect to WiFi" if you are not connected to any network or to a network other than your orderbird WiFi. All Apple devices and Pay Terminal Plus must be on the same WiFi network! Otherwise the devices cannot connect and you will not be able to make card payments later. If you are no longer sure which WiFi your Apple device is connected to, you can quickly find out in your orderbird app. 
      • Tap on "Continue" when the Pay Terminal Plus is in the correct WiFi.
   4. Give the card reader a name. You can use up to 21 characters.
      
   5. Select the time for automatic standby.
      • Tap on the displayed time to set a different duration. You can choose between 1 minute, 2, 5, 10 and 30 minutes, as well as "No standby".
      • Tap on "Continue" if you agree with the displayed time.
      • 
   6. Tap on "Go to Paired Devices".
      

Now grab your Apple device.

On your Apple device

1. Open your orderbird app. Check if you are using the latest version of the app.
2. Make sure that your shift is closed.
3. Go to "Settings" > "Payment" > "Payment Terminal".
   
4. Tap on "Manage Terminals".
   1. Activate "WiFi Terminal" on the right side
      
   2. Tap "Continue" if you want to switch from Bluetooth and a Pay Terminal One (Miura card reader) to WiFi and Pay Terminal Plus.
5. Tap on the plus sign "+" in the new line "Connecting WiFi Terminals to this device".
   
6. Confirm that orderbird POS is allowed to find devices in your network and establish connections. Otherwise, there will be no data exchange with the Pay Terminal Plus!
   
7. A window with QR code appears.

Continue on the Pay Terminal Plus.

Back to the Pay Terminal Plus

1. Tap on "PAIR WITH NEW DEVICE".
   
2. Hold the Pay Terminal Plus over your Apple device so that the QR code on your Apple device can be scanned by the integrated camera of the Pay Terminal Plus.
3. Finally, specify whether you want to have your logo on the Pay Terminal Plus. Tap on "Done" in the upper right corner.
