Your Pay Terminal Plus is interfering with your daily work routine with a forced reboot? If you see a timer of approximately 2 minutes every day around the same time and your Pay Terminal Plus then reboots, then you know you have observed a so-called “security check”.

How to set a better reboot time 

You can easily change the time so that the automatic reboot does not interrupt your daily operations. This automatic check takes place every 24 hours, i.e., if you restart your device manually after closing your shift, the security check will be postponed to that exact time.

Why reboot?

The security check is set by the hardware producer so that the device reboots daily. Because: “Rebooting is good for you!”

A regular reboot ensures the functionality of your POS system. You may also know from other devices, e.g., your smartphone or laptop, that after a reboot everything runs more smoothly and faster again, and many problems are solved. This is usually the first tip from any technical support team for a reason ;-)
