Only applicable for Austria in combination with fiskaly

Please note: The procedure described above is valid only if your business is located in Austria and you comply with the Registrierkassensicherheitsverordnung (RKSV) using our partner fiskaltrust.

For businesses outside Austria or using a different fiscalization solution, these steps do not apply.

Want to get familiar with your new orderbird cash register? No problem! You can experiment with your cash register as much as you like and create test orders.

However, to avoid distorting your sales data, you must restore any sales and cancel all items. This ensures that all recorded items are correctly deleted from the Austrian tax office records. Depending on the number of items booked, this process might take some time. Look on the bright side: by the end, you’ll be an absolute pro at handling cancellations and restoring tables! 😉

Here’s how to get started

  1. Set up the training cancellation reason. Make sure that under Settings > Order Pad > Cancellation Reasons, “Training” is preset as a cancellation reason in the orderbird app.
  2. Create test invoices. Go ahead and generate one or more test invoices to practice.
  3. Reopen the invoices. Restorations in your cash register count as a money transfer, which is why QR codes are created for these transactions. The chargebacks from your cash register are considered a money transfer, which is why QR codes are created.
  4. Cancel the items. Open the restored tables and cancel the booked items using the cancellation reason “Training.”

That’s it! You’re now ready to confidently operate your cash register. Happy training!
