Three golden rules

  • Handle your card reader with care at all times.
  • Protect your card reader from unauthorized access.
  • Avoid any form of tampering under all circumstances.

Suspicion of tampering?

If you suspect that someone may have tampered with or manipulated your card reader, stop using it immediately and contact us at help@orderbird.com with the subject line “My card reader has been tampered”.

A few tips before you start using your card reader

  • Only accept the package if it is not damaged and does not show signs of prior opening.
  • After you have opened the box of the terminal, check the terminal’s serial number (S/N), write it down in your records. The serial number is required for any potential warranty claims.
  • Check the condition of the card reader. If the device has loose or missing screws, or generally appears unusual, stop using your card reader immediately and contact us right away: help@orderbird.com.

When you don’t use the terminal for a longer time

  • Never leave your terminal unattended. Store it in a secure location (e.g. a locked cabinet) when it is not in use (e.g. outside business hours or during breaks).
  • Always store it out of reach for third parties, and never give it away to unauthorized people.
  • You must not modify this terminal, give it away, or operate it in any other unauthorized manner.
  • If the terminal has been stolen or is lost, do contact us immediately: help@orderbird.com. We will disable the terminal, so that it cannot be used by third parties.

If you have any further questions, you can call our hotline or email us at help@orderbird.com. Our support team will get in touch with you!
