From orderbird version 5.5 onwards, your production dockets for your kitchen (and bar) will automatically be split by party when you print them. This way you always know which order you are currently working on, even if several groups are seated at the same table.

Step by step

  1. In the orderbird app, go to Settings>Docket printing to activate (or deactivate) "Split dockets by party". This option is already activated in the default.

  2. Done :) From now on, your production dockets will be split by parties.

Is the name of the party printed on the receipt?

Unfortunately not, the party name is printed only on the production dockets. If you need to restore a party's receipt, you can compare the table-number, the items and the amount due on the printed receipt to the digitally stored receipts in order to identify it.

Examples of production dockets

Example 1 - Table dockets, one printer

  • Two groups are sitting at the bar, and you take their orders as "Party 1" and "Party 2".
Your settings: You activated table dockets and your production dockets are printed out on a single printer.

Example 2 - Course dockets, two printers

  • Several groups are seated at table 3 and you create a party for each group. Two parties order a multi-course menu.
  • Your settings: You activated course dockets and your production dockets for drinks are printed at the bar and the dockets for food are printed on the kitchen printer.
